What is the full process of marketing?
The process of Marketing includes these four points.
- Creating: The process of collaborating with suppliers and customers to create offerings that have value.
- Communicating: Broadly, describing those offerings, as well as learning from customers.
- Delivering: Getting those offerings to the consumer in a way that optimizes value.
- Exchanging: Trading value for those offerings.

As per our understanding, you are asking about the second case in example give in lecture#2. The operator is calling the customer while going marketing job and offering a promotion, to buy 1 item and get the 2nd item free.
