- Research questions (5)
- Literature Review (10)
- Methodology (10)
- References (5)
Guidelines for question number 2
- Research topic
The research topic should be brief, between 10-12 words, but should clearly state the issue under study. All the Variables (independent & dependent), population (students, teachers) and level (university, college and school) should be addressed clearly. Topic should be relevant to your area of study (Education).
- Introduction
The purpose of introduction is to introduce the topic and to convince of its need. It should consist of one to two pages about the topic’s background information funneling from general to specific, leading to the problem. It should briefly state the gaps between the elements of the issue and the existing literature. Also highlight the gaps that will be filled through your research.
- Statement of the Problem
State the problem in two to three sentences. It should clearly establish the aims of the research and the relationship sought between the variables/concepts of the study.
- Research Objectives
Research objectives layout your plan to accomplish the aims stated in the statement of the problem. Objectives are focused and practical. They are generally numbered so each one stands alone, but related/interlinked to the aims of the study. The objectives should be:
Presented such that these facilitate the reader to locate various important points in the research work.
Clearly phrased to specify exactly what you are going to do and for what purpose.
At the end of the study, objectives must be assessed to see if those have been met/achieved or not
- Research Questions
Research questions explain the answer/s required for the solution of the problem. Research questions can be stated in both the qualitative and quantitative research but are mostly used in qualitative research. Similar to the objectives the research questions should be:
Clear
Researchable
Connected with already established theory and research
Linked with each other
Capable of making contribution to research
Literature Review
Literature review should be of maximum 1000 words
Prepare 3 pages literature review related to research topic you have selected.
Page limit: 3 pages
Formatting: Follow APA style
Number of selected articles for literature review: 5
Nature of research articles: QuantitativeMethodology
Methodology section should have following details:
Research Method
Clearly mentioning the research method, it should be align to the topic as well
Population
Sampling Technique
Sample Size
Pilot testing
Data Collection
Data Analysis
Time frameReferences
The reference list shows the books and other library materials consulted or referred in review of literature and other sections of the research proposal. There should be perfect (100 percent) correspondence between the citation in text and the reference list. The reference should be relevant and up-to-date.Consult following website for further details. https://www.usq.edu.au/library/referencing/apa-referencing-guide
