    Objective of the activity

    To familiarize the students about the theories of Management which areessential to establish and originate the concept of Performance Management.

    Learning outcome

    After attempting this GDB, students will be able to highlight the essential theories which will be helpful to manage the Performance Management System in this current pandemic situation.

    The Premise

    Year 2020 comes with many challenges, employees monitoring and feedback have been easy before COVID-19. Organizations have started their operations remotely due to this current pandemic.It has become inevitable to review employee performance remotely. Some common challenges are tracking and monitoring employee performance. Therefore,in order to manage the performance and providing feedback in this current situation strategies and steps needed to be taken.

    Hence, employee goals are the first step to manage the performance of the team working remotely.The next step is to focus on providing “in-the-moment” feedback to improve the behavior and to control and track the employees. The economic impacts are also significant, and many companies are trying to understand, react, and learn lessons from rapidly unfolding events.

    Point of Discussion:

    After reading the above-mentioned premise, you are advised to identify the underlying theories of performance management which are essential to track and measure the performance of employees working remotely in this pandemic.Discuss your answer with logical arguments.
