Modern Era and Our Obligations on Our Loved Ones
-
The current era is called a modern era. Well educated, well-mannered and modern community can be seen everywhere. Yes, of course, we are modern, well educated, well-mannered, but we do this all to show off and impress others. We have double standards and are selfish, we work, meet others and almost do everything for our own benefits. We don’t care for each other. If we get success after destroying others, we think it is our right. We only think about our rights. But we forget that our obligations are the rights of others. If we have right to live happy and successful life then others also deserve the same. We have rights and obligations on each other.
Our obligation as sons/daughters
The parents who brought us in the world, fed us and provided us with everything. They worked hard for our schooling, food, etc. They do everything to fulfill our wishes.
They provide us opportunities to move ahead and try to keep us safe from all evils. When we become able to do something for which our parents put the real effort, we think our success is the result of our own hard work. We choose old house as the best option to keep our parents away from us. Is this the modernism for which we are working day and night? If modernism teaches us such behavior, please say NO to this so called modernism. Our obligation as parents
We think we provide good food, clothes and such other things to our children then we think we do our duty. We send our children to boarding houses, school, madrassa and feel liberated. The time which we are They provide us opportunities to move ahead and try to keep us safe from all evils. When we become able to do something for which our parents put the real effort. we think our success is the result of our own hard work. We choose old house as the best option to keep our parents away from us.

We think we provide good food. clothes and such other things to our children then we think we do our duty. We send our children to boarding houses, school, madrassa and feel liberated. The time which we are supposed to spend with our children, we waste on social media and leave our children on the mercy of merciless society. In this way we get rid from our children who are our real wealth. Children need time, special care and our full attention. When a daughter/son says, ‘Baba/Mama I got first prize in exam’, then she/he did not mean to get a gift from us. They need some words of appreciation. They want your full attention and care. They have some expectations from our side. When we ignore our children and they fail to get attention from our side which they want or need, they get hurt and try to keep them busy in useless activities and social media; this is the basic reason behind the deterioration of our children’s character and overall behavior. Our obligation as citizens
We, as a Pakistanis, declare ourselves great patriots. But our love for our country is just limited to our words. Have we ever thought what we actually do for Pakistan? We think that defence and success of our country is just the responsibility of our Army and government. When any critical situation generates in our country. we blame others. But we forget as a citizen what obligations we have to fulfill as citizens. We also have responsibility to defend our country and make it successful. We should perform active roles in solving our country’s issues. Let’s see Zainab’s (the nation’s daughter) case for example. I have one question: did this incident occur due to the irresponsibility of our army or leaders? No, its our own mistake. We all are responsible for this incident. Then. let’s recall Army Public School (APS) incident. Burning candles and composing inspirational songs on national tragedies can’t fulfill such a great loss. We need to do something practically. We have to practically see what actions can really keep our schools and our children safe. In short, we should stop blaming others and be courageous enough to become first drop of rain.
