    Upon the successful completion of this assignment students will be able to:
     Learn about emotional intelligence and its role in enhancing job performance
     Learn about scale administration and preparation of brief research report on it. Dear students
    Researchers have proved that emotional intelligence of employees determines their success in job. You are required to download a scale of emotional intelligence entitled “Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire” from download section of VULMS and get it filled from an employee working within any organization. After that, prepare a report according to following format:
    a) Introduction (5 marks)
    In this section, you will define the role of emotional intelligence in job performance and you will also introduce your participant (i.e. age, gender, education, organization, nature of work, job duties & duty hours) and the will explain the procedure of selecting the participant and administering the test.
    b) Quantitative Interpretation
    After getting your questionnaire filled from an employee, you will record the scores in score sheet provided below.
    (i) Record the score of your participant in the grid. The mentioned numbers are the item/question number; you will mention the score of your participant on 1-5 point Likert scale against each item. (5 marks)

    (ii) You will calculate a total of each of the five emotional competencies (2 marks) Self-
    c) Qualitative Interpretation (3 marks)
    In this section, you will interpret the quantitative score of your participant of each area of competency using the following guide. The minimum score on each subscale can be 10 and maximum can be 50 as all competencies have equal number of statements.
    35- 50 This area is strength for client.

    d) Strength Chart and Recommendation (5 marks)
    After calculating the scores of your participant, mark the area of strength of your participant, mark the area which need attention and give suggestion as an organizational psychologist accordingly.
