Teachers grades will replace exams in England
-
@kinza-butt Seems strange that you weren’t able to still achieve the highest grades then. Surely being receptive would aid you in this with minimal effort, more so than other people, who are not as ‘naturally’ in tuned as you are? Either way, don’t fret. They’ll defo give us this option.
-
The highest grade at least in time was an A*. I got A’s, only half grade difference. Sure there were some minor gaps that prevented my A* but the difference is negligible and I just didn’t like academics to begin with which is the likely reason I didn’t strive for an A*.
-
@ozair Half grade difference? They introduced the A* to make it so that the top A grade students could be differentiated. Just cos it has the letter A in it, doesn’t make it any less of a jump than from a B to an A for example. In fact, those last few marks are often the hardest to get.
-
@dua-zahra No, it is indeed a half grade difference. The point jump isn’t as high from B to A for example. A* just means near perfection and is usually comprised structural elements as opposed to actually getting the answer right
-
In most written subjects this is not the case. And it’s certainly no where near perfect.
-
“I dont care about academics” but you’re complaining that you won’t get good predicted grades? Doesn’t really make sense to me 😬 either work harder like everyone else or don’t care about your grades at all, you can’t get both no matter how ‘smart’ you think you are
-
What about those doing mix of GCSE and IGCSE?? The igcse are still going ahead ??
-
@jawad-tahir Yes I am also having doubt IGCSE exam will effect more children’s
-
Private/external candidates can’t get teacher assessed grades, what are supposed to do? Why are we always forgotten and left with nothing. Last yr we didn’t have a way to grades and were forced to a gap yr and now they are doing the same to us… I feel just so helpless right now

@yousaf-ali it’s crazy how a lazy government is now gonna affect so many peoples futures.
