Social Exchange involves the friendships and other personal relations as well as onetime market transactions and long-term formal contracts however in case of charity donations and philanthropy this exchange does not remain the same. It involves the trust, belief and humanity purpose. How do you see the social exchange in terms of charity giving? What types of rewards and costs are involved in such transactions? Explain in detail.

The main objective of this assignment is to make students familiar with the basic assumptions of major sociological perspectives, prominent theorists and their level of orientation.
The second objective is to enable students to relate how macro and micro level phenomena work together and influence each other.
Background
Sociology is a reasoned and rigorous study of human social life, social groups, and societies. At the heart of sociology a distinctive point of view called “the sociological perspective”. Thus sociology offers a perspective, a view of the world. There are different perspectives that being a sociologists you go through at micro and macro levels.

Background
The perspective of exchange and rational choice theory is looking at all social relations in terms of costs and rewards, both material and non-material. Its analysis begins at the micro level. Micro-level exchanges may be seen as the foundation for macro level structures. Keeping in mind this assumption exemplifies the type of exchange against each Proposition given by George Homans and identifies the costs and rewards involved in specific exchange with justification:Marking scheme: Example 15, cost 15, reward 1*5=15
