Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is that the last Messenger of Allah Almighty on which the last sacred book Noble Quran revealed. Being a Prophet and Messenger of Allah (SWT), He (SAW) delivered the message of Allah Almighty, explained it and applied it to Himself and on His family. Muhammad (SAW) is that the person of fantastic morals and character, so if we would like to steer a successful life then we should always follow the trail explained by Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Allah Almighty says in Noble Quran about Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in these words: “You are indeed an exalted standard of character and morals“(Quran, 68: 4). So, if we actually want to steer a successful life we should always acquire life lessons from Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Allah Almighty sent Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) not only to spread the message of truth but also to point out the planet the perfect way of living one’s life. One should think beyond narrow borders. Holy Prophet (SAW) said: “He isn’t one among us who involves Tribalism/Nationalism, or who fights for Tribalism, or who dies for Tribalism.” So we should always attempt to think beyond this nobody is superior in terms of tribalism.
One should be honest in trading or in business. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was very honest in conducting trade and in His day to day affairs.
Live simple life with little reference to worldly belongings . Our beloved Prophet (SAW) adopted an easy and modest lifestyle. So we should always also attempt to live an easy life without being such a lot involved in worldly belongings .
Always wish good for others a bit like Prophet Muhammad (SAW) did in His life. Muhammad (SAW) said: “A believer wishes for others what he wishes for himself.”
don’t be unfair to others a bit like Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Messenger of Allah (SAW) warned those that do injustice to others in these words: “Beware of injustice, for injustice are going to be darkness on the Day of Resurrection.”
Holy Prophet (PBUH) was a person of elation and lofty character. one among His sayings is, “Even a smile are often charity.” Muhammad (SAW) was always respectful of the old, caring towards the weak and loving towards the youngsters . We all should behave a bit like Prophet (PBUH) in our lives.
Treat your neighbors with Kindness. Our beloved Prophet (SAW) said: “Treat your neighbors during a kind and polite manner.”
don’t criticize others. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “Always remember your own faults before you mention the faults of others.”
In short, Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is that the great model for Muslims in every aspect of life. Quran is that the book of guidance and Muhammad (SAW) implemented the teachings of Quran in His life for us in order that we will learn from His life. The blood of Imam Husain (A.S) is oozing from the pages of history to convey message of selflessness to human societies. His words went beyond the desert of Karbala. He played his human role within the absolute best thanks to reform the society and uproot the dictatorial regime. He moved to free the individuals from the chain of slavery. An honorable death was much more reputable for him than a dishonorable life.
He sacrificed his life to uphold moral code, human practices and non secular tenets. Imam Husain (A.S) turned right down to pledge allegiance to a cruel regime – which carried no legitimacy. Yazid ruled the bodies of individuals but not their soul. Despite his flagrant misdeeds, he urged Imam Husain (A.S) to vow allegiance to his kingdom. Since Imam Husain (A.S) was the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and a charismatic personality, his allegiance would bestow legitimacy to Yazid’s sultanate. To revive religious values and ethic , he didn’t only refuse to try to to so but reacted manly against his regime.
The message of humanity and selflessness outweigh the tragic aspect of Imam Husain’s (A.S) revolution. Although he was martyred mercilessly on the burning sand of Karbala along side his family and companions, nonetheless his blood gained victory over sword. In other words, his blood decorated the episode of Karbala to portray sacrifice for revival of humanity and moral values. But the tragedy of Karbala is more salient in Islamic societies than human messages. it’s naïve of these who cry in Holy Month of Muharram no matter its sacred messages or to atone their annual sins. It should be considered that Muharram symbolizes the simplest of the human spirit and moral principles. Therefore, one has got to consider the messages and lessons that the revolution of Karbala teaches the societies.
Imam Husain (A.S) explains the mission of his sacrifice in his own words: “I have taken this stand not out of arrogance or pride, neither out of mischief or injustice. I even have risen to hunt reform within the community of my grandfather. i might wish to bid good, forbid evil, and follow the tradition of my grandfather and my father.” He adds, “Can’t you see that the reality isn’t followed and therefore the falsehood isn’t shunned? In such circumstances a believer should desire to satisfy Allah. Surely I regard death as nothing but an honor and life with oppressors as anything but disgrace.”
According to Islamic worldview, all the prophets were sent by Allah Almighty for the salvation of men. They were the heirs of 1 another who made efforts for an equivalent purpose. This historical continuity of prophecy ended with Muhammad (PBUH). consistent with Shiite ideology, this responsibility was placed on the shoulder of Imams after the demise of Muhammad (PBUH). Hence, Imams were the heirs of holy prophets. From the very start of history, there was always a battle between right and wrong. as an example , when Cain slew Abel, it had been the primary drop of blood shed on Earth and therefore the war between right and wrong started – there emerged the Devine and Devil’s parties. Moses protested against the King of his time Pharaoh and wrecked his imperial castle. Abraham revolted against Nimrod and Muhammad (PBUH) against the pagans of Makah. Hence, all Abrahamic prophets preached an equivalent religion and launched war against the oppressors and pagans of their times for an equivalent purpose. In other words, all the prophets came to evangelise the oneness and uniqueness of God, direct men to salvation and fight against the Devil’s party. Finally, Imams also fought battles to defeat the Devil’s party – those that trample upon humanity and moral values.
The blood of Imam Hussain (AS) played the foremost vital role in history. Martyrdom wasn’t a death for Imam but a replacement and eternal re-birth. The stagnant societies of that point awoke to new life by Imam’s blood. He was an excellent mastermind who planned that his blood should flow within the stream of history and time so on be a warning for all dictatorial regimes.
Many lessons are often learnt from Imam Husain (A.S) – we learn to be brave, resilient and firm even as Imam Husain (A.S) and his companions were; that it’s better to die with dignity than to measure in humiliation; that our rights are often defended even within the face of death. True faith is tested within the hardest of adversities. Life are often sacrificed for a just cause. As Mahatma Gandh, Indian political and leader , said about Imam Hussain (A.S) that My faith is that the progress of Islam doesn’t depend upon the utilization of sword by its believers, but the results of the supreme sacrifice of Husain, the good saint. Adding that I learned from Hussain the way to achieve victory while being oppressed. Edwar Gibbon, an English Historian and member of Parliament said about the good sacrifice of Imam Hussain (A.S) that during a distant age and climate, the tragic scene of the death of Hussain will awaken the sympathy of the coldest reader.
His blood will keep the guts of history beating for hundreds of years , he knows. His tomb are going to be the shrine of freedom fighters. His bravery, manliness and virtue are going to be an excellent lesson for human and humanity. His drops of blood will make an ocean to ruin the skyscrapers which are built at the value of the people’s rights and properties. He decides to recover the religious beliefs, moral values and social norms which are eroded after the sad demise of his grandfather. He will prevent Islamic Sunnah from being metamorphosed. Does he have arms and armies? No, his arm is his blood and his armies are his family and therefore the small group of his companions! He will make an ocean to drown the dictatorial regime and his blood shakes the palace of dictators. English translation of the Ashtiname by Anton F. Haddad
This is a letter which was issued by Mohammed, Ibn Abdullah, the Messenger, the Prophet, the Faithful, who is sent to all the people as a trust on the part of God to all His creatures, that they may have no plea against God hereafter. Verily God is Omnipotent, the Wise. This letter is directed to the embracers of Islam, as a covenant given to the followers of Jesus the Nazarene in the East and West, the far and near, the Arabs and foreigners, the known and the unknown.
This letter contains the oath given unto them, and he who disobeys that which is therein will be considered a disbeliever and a transgressor to that whereunto he is commanded. He will be regarded as one who has corrupted the oath of God, disbelieved His Testament, rejected His Authority, despised His Religion, and made himself deserving of His Curse, whether he is a Sultan or any other believer of Islam. Whenever Christian monks, devotees and pilgrims gather together, whether in a mountain or valley, or den, or frequented place, or plain, or church, or in houses of worship, verily we are [at the] back of them and shall protect them, and their properties and their morals, by Myself, by My Friends and by My Assistants, for they are of My Subjects and under My Protection.
I shall exempt them from that which may disturb them; of the burdens which are paid by others as an oath of allegiance. They must not give anything of their income but that which pleases them—they must not be offended, or disturbed, or coerced or compelled. Their judges should not be changed or prevented from accomplishing their offices, nor the monks disturbed in exercising their religious order, or the people of seclusion be stopped from dwelling in their cells.
No one is allowed to plunder these Christians, or destroy or spoil any of their churches, or houses of worship, or take any of the things contained within these houses and bring it to the houses of Islam. And he who takes away anything therefrom, will be one who has corrupted the oath of God, and, in truth, disobeyed His Messenger.
Jizya should not be put upon their judges, monks, and those whose occupation is the worship of God; nor is any other thing to be taken from them, whether it be a fine, a tax or any unjust right. Verily I shall keep their compact, wherever they may be, in the sea or on the land, in the East or West, in the North or South, for they are under My Protection and the testament of My Safety, against all things which they abhor.
No taxes or tithes should be received from those who devote themselves to the worship of God in the mountains, or from those who cultivate the Holy Lands. No one has the right to interfere with their affairs, or bring any action against them. Verily this is for aught else and not for them; rather, in the seasons of crops, they should be given a Kadah for each Ardab of wheat (about five bushels and a half) as provision for them, and no one has the right to say to them ‘this is too much’, or ask them to pay any tax.
As to those who possess properties, the wealthy and merchants, the poll-tax to be taken from them must not exceed twelve drachmas a head per year (i.e. about 200 modern day US dollars).
They shall not be imposed upon by anyone to undertake a journey, or to be forced to go to wars or to carry arms; for the Muslims have to fight for them. Do no dispute or argue with them, but deal according to the verse recorded in the Quran, to wit: ‘Do not dispute or argue with the People of the Book but in that which is best’ [29:46]. Thus they will live favored and protected from everything which may offend them by the Callers to religion (Islam), wherever they may be and in any place they may dwell.
Should any Christian woman be married to a Muslim, such marriage must not take place except after her consent, and she must not be prevented from going to her church for prayer. Their churches must be honored and they must not be withheld from building churches or repairing convents.
They must not be forced to carry arms or stones; but the Muslims must protect them and defend them against others. It is positively incumbent upon every one of the follower of Islam not to contradict or disobey this oath until the Day of Resurrection and the end of the world.
