XYZ is a chain of retail stores, having its branches in five major cities of Pakistan. Organization is centralized and has rigid departmentalization. As per the survey conducted by marketing department, serious issues have been observed in service quality of XYZ organization. CEO was informed that if situation remains the same, it will lead to major decline in sales of current financial year. CEO formed a team comprising of various personnel of different departments. The team has been assigned to develop and implement a plan for improved service quality. Following officials were included in the team. Manager Finance department with 15 years of experience in Finance, Manager Marketing department with ten years of experience in sales and marketing, Assistant Manager from Procurement department, two Software developers from IT department each having 4‐7 years of experience and HR executive from Human resource department. CEO appointed Manager marketing department as team lead. Following are some activities performed by the team.
