The prime objective of this discussion is to understand the concept of BATNA.

The State
Ahmed is doing wholesale business of clothes in a metropolitan city. Akbar is a retailer doing business of clothes in the same city. Akbar is an old and regular customer of Ahmed and just on a phone call, Ahmed delivers clothes to Akbar at his business place as per his demand and always meets his expectation regarding quality of ordered clothes. This year, as the winter season was approaching, Akbar wanted to buy the seasonal clothes and ordered the required clothes on a phone call. Once the order delivered at his business place, Akbar was not satisfied regarding the quality of the received clothes. He immediately informed to the Ahmed but he said, within agreed price, he delivered the best quality clothes. Eventually, their long-term business relationship turns into conflict as Ahmed could not satisfy Akbar on the alternative offered prices of clothes and other best options.

Being a student of Conflict Management subject, in this situation, what could be the various conditions (related to the BATNA) for Ahmed and Akbar which can damage their business? Discuss at least five points.
