      Year 2020 comes with many challenges, employees monitoring and feedback have been easy before COVID-19. Organizations have started their operations remotely due to this current pandemic.It has become inevitable to review employee performance remotely. Some common challenges are tracking and monitoring employee performance. Therefore,in order to manage the performance and providing feedback in this current situation strategies and steps needed to be taken.

      Hence, employee goals are the first step to manage the performance of the team working remotely.The next step is to focus on providing “in-the-moment” feedback to improve the behavior and to control and track the employees. The economic impacts are also significant, and many companies are trying to understand, react, and learn lessons from rapidly unfolding events.

      Point of Discussion:

      After reading the above-mentioned premise, you are advised to identify the underlying theories of performance management which are essential to track and measure the performance of employees working remotely in this pandemic.Discuss your answer with logical arguments.

By 2016, the quality of the services reduced due to the low motivation of their employees. Thus, the customers decided to end their contract with Horizon’s services Ltd. and hire their own “handymen”.
      After the through workout to improve the current critical situation of the company, Horizon’s services Ltd. decided to offer suitable rewards to motivate its workforce, which ultimately help to improve the quality of customer services and efficiency. For this, they decided to reconstruct his workforce into territories and each worker was supposed to operate the given territory as their own business.
      This reconstruction proved to be very successful. The sense of complete ownership in terms of reward is the effective solution adopted by the company in order to improve the performance. Each employee was able to schedule their own work, handle their own equipment, and develop their advertising campaigns in the designated territories. Besides, these were the rewards that each employee desired at Horizon’s services Ltd in order to improve the performance.

      The Premise

      Bureaucracy in the developing countries serves as an engine of economic growth and development. There is a growing inability in Pakistan to objectively evaluate the performance of the bureaucratic elites. In Pakistan, the performance evaluation system is obsolete and does not have a performance management system. It only has one performance evaluation report (PER) which was previously termed as the annual confidential report (ACR).

      In the current situation, the modern state requires a civil servant whose performance is accurately measured, evaluated and subsequently rewarded (or punished). Furthermore, an appeal process and counseling session must be created to make the system of evaluation more transparent. According to the nature of the issue, most performance problems can be resolved through effective communication between supervisors and their employees. In order to challenge the remarks for removal or demotion in the service tribunal, an appeal can be made by the federal employees.

      Point of Discussion:

      After reading the above-mentioned case, what could be the possible reason to address the nature of the issue (judgmental and administrative issue). Also, discuss the appropriate method for dealing the mis-conduct or poor performance rating issue with one solid justification of each case.
