The iPhone SE was a hit among Apple users who were faithful to the 4-inch form factor, but in need of the some of the newer tech.
An iPhone 5s build with iPhone 6 innards and cameras, it was a highly popular model, available at a more affordable price than the flagships.
Unfortunately, despite broadening the range to three phones, Apple hasn’t seen fit to release a sequel . That’s despite near-constant rumblings in its absence.
Now, as we approach the second anniversary of the iPhone SE launch, a video has emerged purportedly showing the iPhone SE 2 in all its glory (via 9to5Mac).

We’ll level with you. We’re not convinced.
The handset shown in the clip shows an iPhone X-inspired design complete with a near-edge-to-edge display and a dual camera on the back of the phone.
There’s also no home button, which means no fingerprint sensor, which in turn means Face ID.
We’re extremely sceptical a second-generation iPhone SE would have Face ID or a dual camera, going on previous form.
The phone does appear to be running iOS, but it’s difficult to tell for sure. It’s far more likely this is an Android phone dressed up in iPhone clothing.
In our recently updated iPhone SE review we asked “when is Apple going to update it?”
TrustedReviews editor Evan Kypreos wrote: “It may not be the most exciting phone Apple has ever released, but the iPhone SE will be a godsend for those who want a high-quality phone that isn’t massive.”
Apple has an event coming up on March 27. It couldn’t possibly… could it?
