Fans are patiently waiting for the Spider-Man PS4 release date to drop and thankfully they only have a few more hours to wait!Last night the celebrated US magazine, Game Informer, confirmed that their next issue cover feature would be Insomniac’s new PS4 exclusive, Spider-Man.If that wasn’t exciting enough, comic book artist Alex Ross designed the front of the mag for a truly unique looking cover like no other.A Game Informer feature usually guarantees a mountain of behind the scenes exclusives, interviews and more news, but the most important tidbit, is the release date, something fans have been craving for months.Thankfully, Insomniac Games put PS4 owners out of their misery, tweeting to say:“It’s releasing 2018 and Game Informer has the date and will share it tomorrow,” For anyone wanting more specific details, you’ll have to wait until 8am PST today, which is when Game Informer plans to drop a load of details and likely the release date.If you’re in the UK, that means you’ll need to pay attention at 4PM BST. You can be sure though that we’ll have all the details the second it’s announced.

Spider-Man PS4 – StoryThe PS4 Spider-Man games takes place around a Peter Parker who is 23 years old and interning at a laboratory while about to graduate from college.Insomniac throws you into the game as you explore a hero that has been Spider-Man for eight years and has settled into his role as protector of New York City.Early in the game’s story, Spider-Man defeats Wilson Fisk and after toppling the Kingpin, a new gang emerges known as the Inner Demons who are now taking over Fisk’s territory.While fending off the Inner Demons from an old Fisk operation, Peter learns that Martin Li, one of New York’s most prominent philanthropists, leads the Inner Demons under his alter-ego Mister Negative.Things get thrown into peril when Parker learns his Aunt May is under Li’s employ – this is the first big personal/hero dilemma Parker will face in the player’s journey through the game.Related articles
