Sony PlayStation 5 is the upcoming console that we have been waiting for and it seems that developer kits of the console have already been sent out ahead of time. This means that the product is not only real but close to final. We have been getting some reports regarding the release of the Sony PlayStation 5. I think that the console could feature AMD Zen CPU with Navi graphics. While the source did not give a solid release date, it was said that if you are planning on getting the Xbox One X in the next couple of months then you might want to hold on a bit longer. These are the same people that told us that there will be new consoles in the same generation and that there would be an evolution in the console space rather than a revolution. Keeping all that in mind these guys can be trusted.AMD provides the hardware that powers these console and that is not going to change any time soon. AMD is working on the next generation AMD Navi graphics architecture and that is something that could also make an appearance in the PlayStation 5. AMD Zen has proved itself and we will be seeing a CPU based on he same architecture. Keeping in mind the current hardware specs the CPU should have 8 cores.According to Tommy Tordsson Björk, the Narrative Designer on Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus:“With the next generation of consoles, there will of course be an increase in the graphical fidelity. We’ll see more realistic looking character animations, better facial animation to convey the emotional spectrum of the actor’s performance.I also think we’re going to see more experiments with online storytelling as well as single-player narratives.“I think there’s potential for the more focused narrative experience to be worked into an online setting. Mature stories exploring challenging adult subjects is something we’re already seeing, especially in the indie scene. And I think we’re going to see even more of that as well in the future, so we have an interesting time ahead of us.”8 cores is something that AMD has been pulling off since last year and the mainstream AMD Ryzen 1800X features 8 cores and 16 threads, just like the upcoming AMD Ryzen 2700X. This can easily be achieved and I do not see why this cannot be done. The chips will be custom made for the console, and the same goes for the graphics solution. We might see vapor chamber cooling, like what we get in the GTX 1080 Ti, or the GPU of the Xbox One X. AMD Navi has been associated with next-generation memory now and then. That could be an indication that AMD Nav will use GDDR6 memory, something that Samsung and SK Hynix will be providing.PSVR is one of the products that Sony has been selling and it makes sense that with the better hardware, the company will provide a better experience. VR is a bit limiting on the PS4 and the Sony PlayStation 5 could offer a much better experience. It would be no surprise if the Sony PlayStation 5 comes with VR support out of the box.It should be interesting to see what kind of performance boost the upcoming console will offer as compared to the PS4 and PS4 Pro and how close the VR experience will be to PC.At this point in time this is an educated guess on my part and while I am being as realistic as I can, there is no certainty that these specs will make it to market. Keeping that in mind do take this information with a grain of salt.Let us know what you think about the Sony PlayStation 5. Is this something that you are looking forward to?
