HARARE: National cricket team captain Sarfraz Ahmed congratulated Pakistan Physical Disability (PPD) team on winning T20I tri-series in England.

Pakistan’ disabled team beat England in final of the series by 45 runs on Wednesday in Worcestershire.

Sarfraz, in his video message, congratulated the team saying it is a big achievement for them. “Best of luck for the future, well-done team Pakistan,” he said.

In the final, PPD set the target of 189 in their 20 overs. Chasing the target, England got all out on 144.



“Pakistan Physical Disability team won the final of Tri-Series against England by 45 runs in Worcestershire. Pakistan PD: 189/7 in 20 overs. England PD: 144/10 in 19 overs,” Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) tweeted.

Earlier in the group matches, Pakistani team had defeated Bangladesh comprehensively in ongoing T20I tri-series in England.

The green shirts beat Bangladesh by 45 runs.

Batting first, Pakistan had set the target of 181 in 20 overs. Bangladesh got all out on 130 in the chase giving the national team an easy win.

Further, Pakistan had defeated England by 78 runs in the first match of the series. The national team scored 224 runs in its 20 overs, while England, in the chase, got all out on 146 in 18.5 overs.
