Resident Evil 7 is Capcom’s latest entry into its long-running, survival horror franchise. The 2017 game changes things up quite a bit by going first-person instead of its traditional third-person perspective. The creative decision paid off as we named Resident Evil 7 one of our Top Games of 2017.
Our Resident Evil 7 review awarded the game a 4/5, after praising how the game “absolutely recaptures the feeling of survival horror established in the first game.” While we don’t know whether or not future Resident Evil games will keep the first-person perspective of Resident Evil 7, we’re confident to say that at least with this entry, Capcom seems to have found its horror mojo back.
