With the Snapdragon 835 SoC in late 2016, Qualcomm also announced the Quick Charge 4.0 charging technology. While we have already seen many smartphones working the Qualcomm chipset, the Quick Charge 4.0 support from phone makers is still poor. Samsung Galaxy S9 duo still features the Quick Charge 2.0.
However, Qualcomm has now updated the list of smartphones supporting their Quick Charge 4.0 technology. Sadly, there is still not a lot of support for the feature, even though it has been here for more than a year now.

According to Qualcomm’s website, the Razer Phone, the first dedicated gaming smartphone, is the only device to feature the latest fast charging technology. The smartphone was also launched a year ago and runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile platform.

For some unknown reason, Qualcomm seems to have overlooked to mention the ZTE Nubia Z17 in the list. Not long ago, ZTE confirmed that the phone indeed supports Quick Charge 4+ during its launch. For that matter, even the LG G7 is rumored to come with the Quick Charge 4.0 built-in.
As Qualcomm had announced during its launch, the Quick Charge 4.0 supported devices will be able to offer up to five hours worth of battery life with five minutes of charging. Along with support for USB Type-C, Qualcomm says Quick Charge 4.0 promises 20 percent faster charging, and up to 30 percent higher efficiency.
