NVIDIA’s next family of gaming graphics cards might not be the GeForce GTX 20 Series after all. According to latest rumors, NVIDIA will use the GTX 11 Series name for the upcoming series. If the rumor is confirmed, NVIDIA doesn’t plan to label the new cards by tens, like the current 1080 or 1070 models, but they will go with the GTX 1181 or the GTX 1185. NVIDIA introduced the GeForce 100 series in 2009 right after the GeForce 9 series that has been launched in 2008. The company’s naming system moved by the hundreds since the 100 Series hit the markets and ending with the 900 Series in 2016. After that, NVIDIA skipped to the 10 Series in 2017 because it was just too easy to read and type. According to latest rumors, NVIDIA in 2018 might change again the naming scheme. First of all, the upcoming series will belong to the GTX 11 series (and not to the GTX 20 series) and it will not label by tens. For example we might see the GTX 1185 or the GTX 1175 graphics cards. Following a rumor posted on Wccftech, we might see the upcoming series during next July or just around summer time. At this times there isn’t more information but we will keep an eye on it.Source: Wccftech
