NVIDIA’s Deep Learning Institute (DLI) is offering a Developer Certification Program designed to verify a student’s ability to solve actual industry problems, from concept to code, using deep learning.
DLI over the last year has delivered 500,000 hours of deep learning training to developers and data scientists in the critical skills needed to apply deep learning to solve problems in healthcare, science, entertainment and finance.New, integrated course assessments ensure certification is based on demonstrated competency in specific skills, mastery of key concepts, and both functional and performance validation of software created by participants. Developer Certifications will initially be offered for “Fundamentals of Deep Learning for Computer Vision” and “Fundamentals of Accelerated Computing with CUDA C/C++”. Additional course and industry-specific certifications will follow soon.”NVIDIA is helping train developers around the world in the skills needed to advance products, services and entire industries,” said Greg Estes, vice president of developer programs, NVIDIA. “Our new certification program will confirm actual skills developers need to demonstrate knowledge and proficiency, and help them stand out in a competitive job market.”DLI is also adding new courses to its catalog. Offered onsite or online, the hands-on courses help participants learn by doing. New full-day onsite workshops include: “Advanced Deep Learning for Financial Services”, “Deep Learning for Full Motion Video Analytics” and “Fundamentals of Deep Learning with Multi-GPU”. DLI is also adding self-paced online deep learning training for digital content creation, intelligent video analytics and a “Fundamentals of Accelerated Computing with CUDA Python” course to its portfolio.
NVIDIA said it is further expanding its content by teaming up for the third time with Udacity to offer computer vision and reinforcement learning courses focused on the skill set needed for AI jobs. Beyond the coursework, the DLI supports developers with additional resources and post-course project suggestions to gain real-world practice.DLI is also expanding the ecosystem of training delivery partners to include Cray, which joins the ranks of more than two dozen partners delivering DLI training through in-person training worldwide. At this week’s GPU Technology Conference in Silicon Valley, DLI is offering 54 labs, four full-day workshops and training for more than 2,000 developers on how to apply deep learning AI and accelerated computing in their applications.
