A leaked ESRB rating description has apparently shown us that many Soul Calibur 6 characters haven’t been revealed yet. Since there’s still a good while since the game releases, who knows who these characters will end up being, especially with the crazy cast that we’ve had over the past few games.
The Soul Calibur 6 characters that have already been revealed range from classic ones like Nightmare, Yoshimitsu, Mitsurugi, Siegfried, and more, to new ones such as the guest character Geralt of Rivia, visiting the world of Soul Calibur from his own world in the Witcher games. But according to the ESRB rating, that’s not all of the characters that we’ll be getting in the game.
Alongside things like swords, other weapons mentioned in in the ESRB blurb include spears, pistols, axes, and nunchucks, none of which we’ve seen yet among the characters we’ve seen. So as we get closer to the game’s release, more characters will likely be revealed that have these weapons.
Soul Calibur is one of the biggest fighting games around, even though it’s been several years since a game was previously released. With a deep and detailed lore, a wide variety of characters and weapons to choose from, and beautiful environments, Soul Calibur 6 is looked forward to as a possible return to form for the series.
The previous Soul Calibur, Soul Calibur 5, got positive reviews for a number of things, but the unsympathetic character of Patroklos, a lackluster story mode, and the removal of many fan-favorite characters, all contributed to make it a fairly forgetful game, even with the addition of Ezio Auditore from Assassin’s Creed as a guest character.
Either way, Soul Calibur 6 will likely be releasing on October 18 for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. Be on the lookout for more Soul Calibur 6 characters being announced until then.
