Samsung has recently started to roll out its Android 8.0 Oreo update along with Samsung Experience 9.0 for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones in most countries, and now the Korean company has announced their update schedule for the Galaxy Note 8 as well as the two-year-old Galaxy S7.
A local Samsung website in Turkey has reported the update plans for the Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S7 as well as the Galaxy S7 Edge. According to the local website, the Android Oreo update is currently undergoing testing for the Galaxy Note 8 and is scheduled to release on March 30th. The Note 8 was released with Android 7.0 Nougat, while the Galaxy S7 shipped with Android 6.0 Marshmellow and will be receiving its second major Android update.
The firmware update for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge is reportedly undergoing final testing as well and will launch a bit later around April 13th. Although these dates mentioned are aimed towards the Turkish market, the international over-the-air rollout shouldn’t differ much and will most likely occur around the same date.
