There are tons of headsets on the market, and many of them come with gamer-focused features such as accentuated sound effects to give you an edge in competitive play, unique connectivity with the Xbox One, and beyond. Many of these headsets cost a few hundred dollars, though, which isn’t always ideal. Thankfully, there are tons of great budget options to choose from as well.
If you’re looking for an Xbox headset but don’t fancy breaking your bank account, here’s a look at some of our favorite Xbox gaming headsets for under $100.

Turtle Beach Stealth 600

I think arguably, this is the best headset you can get for Xbox One right now under $100. It might not have the greatest sound, but it is incredibly feature-rich, and ticks all the boxes for those looking for a no-nonsense $99.99 sound solution for their console.
The Stealth 600 is completely wireless and connects to your Xbox One (or compatible Windows 10 PC) using Microsoft’s Xbox Wireless signal. It has an impressive battery life rocking well over ten hours and recharges quickly. It also has mic monitoring which lets you hear yourself while talking, so you don’t yell, and features decent audio quality and adequate comfort.
Dollar for dollar, this is a great headset for those looking for something quick and easy, and wireless!

HyperX Cloud II

HyperX is known for making tremendous products at affordable prices, and the Cloud II is no different. We’re cheating a little here, as the retail price comes in just above $100, but it’s currently on special offer on Amazon as of writing, for $88.99.
HyperX headsets are uniquely comfortable, with generous memory foam cushioning in all the right places, and the Cloud II also looks rather great, with leather stylings and red accents. The headset doesn’t support mic monitoring sadly, but it does have quite impressive sound, featuring HyperX’s own 7.1 virtual surround solution. They are incredibly effective at noise cancellation, immersing you in your game distraction-free.

Plantronics RIG 400LX

Plantronics currently has one of the best headsets out there for Xbox with the RIG 800LX, but if you don’t fancy spending that much cash, you can opt for its cheaper baby brother instead.
The RIG 400LX is a no-frills sort of headset that brings Plantronics’ unique RIG design direction along with some great comfort and solid audio. It’s almost identical to the seemingly discontinued RIG 400HX, but for Xbox gamers, it comes with a few bonuses. It includes a controller adapter amplifier which features an aux socket for feeding in sound from elsewhere and additional EQ modes. It also comes with a code for Dolby Atmos, which provides a compelling virtual surround sound experience. Grab it for $99.

SteelSeries Arctis 3

SteelSeries make some of the best gaming headsets around, and their cheap and cheerful Arctis 3 might be just what the doctor ordered.
Unlike some of the other headsets on this list, it opts for a more subtle design. You could take these out and about with you and not feel embarrassed. The Arctis 3 are missing some of the bells and whistles from their more expensive cousins, but many of those features aren’t available on Xbox One, making this your best option.
The SteelSeries Arctis 3 features the company’s own 7.1 surround solution, and performs admirably in the audio department (especially considering its svelte $70 price point). If you feel like spending a little bit more, there’s a $112 Bluetooth variant for mixing in audio from a compatible Bluetooth device. In any case, this headset has the best frequency response on this list, and is arguably the most performant in terms of raw sound quality.
